Prague Astronomical Clock tickets at a glance
You can watch the clock for free from Old Town Square. It sits on the south side of the Old Town Hall tower, and there is no separate ticket for the hourly apostle show. A ticket gets you inside the building. In 2026 there are three different things to buy: the basic ticket, the online tower ticket and an inside tour. They are not the same product, and none of them is a ticket for everything.
The basic ticket covers the tower and the Knights' Hall, where an interactive digital model of the clock is on show. The historic interiors, including the chapel and the medieval cellars, are only open on a guided inside tour, which costs extra. The lift to the tower is a separate supplement as well. All prices are in Czech crowns (CZK) and apply in 2026.

Our picks: Old Town Hall tickets
Our take: the audio guide ticket adds a short introduction. The plain ticket covers only the tower, and the guided visit adds the underground.

Ticket prices 2026
Basic ticket at the desk, online skip-the-line ticket, and the lift supplement that is added to the desk price.
| Visitor | Desk or stairs | Online skip-the-line | Lift, extra |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adult | CZK 350 | CZK 450 | CZK 100 |
| Youth, 16 to 26 | CZK 280 | CZK 360 | CZK 100 |
| Child, 6 to 15 | CZK 230 | CZK 300 | CZK 100 |

| Family: 2 adults and up to 4 children | CZK 750 | CZK 900 | β |

The online ticket costs CZK 100 more for adults, CZK 80 more for youths, CZK 70 more for children and seniors and CZK 150 more for the family ticket. It is entry to the tower only. If the queue on your day is short, the desk is the cheaper way in. For the family lift price, ask at the desk.
What each ticket covers
Three tickets, one supplement, and a clear line between them.
Basic ticket
Tower and Knights' Hall. The digital model in the hall explains the dials, but it is not a look at the real mechanism. The guide to how the clock works covers what you see on the facade.
Tower guide βOnline skip-the-line
Entry to the tower, booked in advance. It costs more than the desk ticket and does not add the inside tours.
Hours and access βLift
Paid on top of the desk ticket: CZK 100 for adults, youths and children, CZK 50 for seniors. Children from 0 to 5 ride free.
Tower guide βInside tours A and B
Tour A: the chapel with a view of the apostle figures, the state rooms and the Romanesque and Gothic underground. Tour B: the underground. You pay the supplement on the day, at the hall.
Cellars and tours βInside tours run at set times, each in one language. Look at the day's timetable before you queue, and do not count on a departure in your language soon after you arrive.
What a visit costs in total
For an adult, the basic ticket plus tour A comes to CZK 500. Basic ticket plus tour B is CZK 450. Both figures are without the lift. With the online ticket instead of the desk ticket, add CZK 100.
A private guided service for the hall is priced at CZK 3,000 per group, plus admission. It is not a price per person. Organized groups need to reserve in advance.
The hall's inside tours are one product. The cellars shown by private underground-tour companies are another. The tours page sorts out which is which.

Which ticket for which visit
Pick by what you want to see, not by the cheapest number.
| Your plan | Choose | Adult price |
|---|---|---|
| The view and the digital model | Basic ticket at the desk | CZK 350 |
| A tight schedule, little time to queue | Online skip-the-line ticket | CZK 450 |
| The chapel, state rooms and cellar | Basic ticket plus tour A | CZK 500 |
| The underground only | Basic ticket plus tour B | CZK 450 |
| Stairs are a problem | Basic ticket plus lift | CZK 450 |
For most visitors the basic ticket at the desk is the right start. Add tour A if you want to see inside the building, and the lift if the stairs are a problem. Choose the online ticket when your time in Prague is short.
